First fruit, bananas

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We had our first bout with sickness and baby boy. He has had the stomach flu for the last 10 days, spiking a fever to 102.7 F. He is on the tail end of it now. He never lost his appetite while under the weather. So we tried some bananas to help bind some of his poop up. As you can see Orrin really likes bananas. He has taken to eating with a spoon well.

Around the house

We are still working on our tummy time. Still haven't gotten past the 14 min mark. Orrin is trying to "scoot" He is trying to get up on his knees but he still needs to build up his strength hence needing to tolerate more tummy time.
Ethan wanted Orrin to try out his sunglasses. He actually didn't pull them off his face straight away. We got a chance to snap a few pics. You can even see that his eyebrows are starting to darken slightly.

Bayfest at North Beach, MD

Ethan and I have been so rapped up in working on this house that we thought we should have some rec time. There are so many festivals and "on going's" that you could just about do something different every weekend. I heard about this Bayfest waterfront festival in North Beach which is about 45-50min drive from our house. We invited another couple and off we went. Since it was right on the water the catch of the day was steamed crabs and shrimp. I was on my own with getting something edible for me to eat. Orrin of course had his milk. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time.

Ice cream at local creamy

While both Ethan and Mom were chilrens' they would love to go and get soft serve ice cream at this little shop down the street where Mom lived as a child. Ethan wanted to document the event of Orrin's first time there. He pretty much slept through the whole visit and of course too small to have any icecream. The icecreams were HUGE! By the time I ordered I just got the kiddie version which was a "normal" size cone. It was so cheap, all of us had ice cream for just over $4.00, nothing like living in Derry, PA. We all enjoied our time there.

Aug 10- First Feeding of rice cereal

While we were in Pittsburgh for Ethan's Uncle Waynes' furneal, we decided to start Orrin on rice cereal. Here are his debut pictures on his first encounter with the rice cereal. He did really good. He wasn't sure what to think of the spoon and all but he did eat some like a champ. Go "Scorin' Orrin!!"

Orrin Talking

Orrin is liking hearing his voice. I wanted share it all with you. Yes I know that it is 0400 in the AM but that is a life of a night shift worker. I woke up at 4am and just couldn't sleep so why not blog? The house is quite, the baby is sleeping........ What more could you ask for?

Seeing Family in Florida May 2008

Ethan had to travel down to Jacksonville for work as you all know; so we took this opportunity to go down as a family since I was still on baby leave. Below as some pictures of our time while we were there. Looking back at these pictures you can see how much Orrin has grown.

Loving this posting thing

I am just loving doing this blogging thing. I didn't think that I would like it but, it is so easy just as Jenette said. Not that I didn't believe you Jenette. You are just so much more computer savvy than I, so I was hesitant about doing it. It is going on 10am and I have to work the next two nights. So I have to get some sleep. So I will be putting this on hold for the next couple of days. Don't worry I will be back with more pictures. I have lots more to post. Visiting Florida is next on my list.

New Web Site

Well I believe I am going to follow suit with Jenette on this blog site thing. As you can see things are out of order. I will try and fix it. The Comcast website was really too difficult to manage, but this one as you can see I am getting the hang of it. Orrin is here sitting on my lap just watching me type. He is so interested in my fingers going across the keyboard at this momement. Now he is reaching to type.

Also with this website we can take it with us so to speak, unlike Comcast. When we disconnect our account I believe we would lose eveything we download onto that site. Long story short this is our new pad.

Hangin' out in the crib

August 19, 2008

Today was a good day with Baby Orrin. I have been trying to get him used to being on his tummy. He already shows his temper with mini protests. Although today he was on his tummy for a total of 14mins without protest. Here are some pictures to prove it.

Look what's in our yard

I was changing Orrin this morning and Ethan approaches me on my left shoulder to say good morning. He looks out the window of Orrin's room and this is what he sees. Of course he ran to get the camera so that is how you guys get to share in the momement with us.
It becomes so clear now on why some of my impatients (sp?) flowers are missing. It looks like someone took a weed wacker to one side of one of my pots. I have never seen deers in the neighboorhood. Guess I am wrong. It look like a mommie and bambi. No Papa to be found.

First Giggle

The other day Ethan was watching Orrin because I was at work. During a routine diaper change, Ethan got Orrin to giggle. You really can't see anything but you can hear him giggle twice if you listen really, really hard. Yes, the video is dark, but you can still hear him giggle at about 10 seconds and 15 seconds. Good Luck!
